Looking back on the idyllic parts of growing up in the country: as soon as we finished school for the day, we'd drop our things, call for the dogs and cats, and run down to the lake to spend the rest of our daylight hours scouting nature

Tracking deer, wild turkey, and raccoons... peering through the water looking for tadpoles and minnows, and above all, keeping an eye out for snakes!
